The Medal Was a Milestone. Showing Up Was the Work.

I still feel proud when I think about my first practical-shooting medal. After three years of trying, I placed third in Limited Optics Class B at the TPPR Championship at RL Shooting Club.

I wrote about that weekend before, but the part that stays with me deserves another mention: I kept coming back. It feels good to see that effort turn into something I can hold in my hand.

The friends around the sport matter to me, too. A result is a personal milestone, and sharing the day gives it another layer.

I enjoy having something that challenges my focus and gives me a reason to keep improving. That medal will always be a good reminder of why I started.
