Happy to Be a Kid at Disney Too

I enjoy seeing everyone let themselves have fun. Disney gave us plenty of chances for that: silly poses, familiar characters, and the kind of smiles you do not have to ask for twice.

Looking through these photos, I like how much personality made it into them. The park is the setting, but the family is the reason I want to keep looking.

I am happy to join in. Take the photo, enjoy the moment, and let a day be fun without overthinking it.

These are memories I am glad we made together. There is a place in my life for being serious, and there is absolutely a place for a day like this.

One Paris Night I Am Glad We Kept

The Eiffel Tower at night is worth stopping for. Having the family in the picture makes me even happier we did.

I like the mood of this set: winter coats, the lit-up tower at the end of the street, and a few big smiles in the cold. The pictures have enough of the city to bring it back, and enough of us to make it personal.

Travel gives you moments you have seen in other people's photos for years. Then you get to stand there yourself, with your own people beside you.

I am glad we took our time for these. This was a good night to bring home in the camera roll.

Paris from Shoulder Height

There is the famous view, and then there is the view from Dad's shoulders. I am happy this Paris set has both.

I like the grand buildings and the river, but that first photo is the one I keep coming back to. It puts a very familiar part of being a dad into a place we had traveled so far to see.

These are the pictures I want to keep: a landmark, a little silliness, and my family making the place part of our own story.

Paris gave us plenty to look at. Sharing it like this is what made it feel like our trip.

Santiago, Together

Seeing these family photos in Santiago brings back a real sense of having arrived somewhere together. After the walking pictures and the stops along the way, here we are in front of the cathedral.

I like the contrast in this set: the wide view outside, the detail inside, and our faces in the middle of it all. It gives me more than one way to remember being there.

Trips have a way of moving quickly once you are home. A few photos help me slow them back down and appreciate what we got to share.

This is one of those parts of our family story I am especially glad we recorded.

The Stops Along the Camino

Some of my favorite Camino photos are from the pauses. A bench with a view. A table with coffee. A chessboard getting someone's full attention.

I like seeing those moments alongside the walking pictures. They make the memory feel complete. We were out there doing something together, and we also had time to sit down and enjoy one another's company.

The selfie brings back the group. The chess photos bring back a smaller scene inside the trip. I am glad we have both.

I want to keep remembering travel this way: with room for the places we went and the ordinary things we did while we were there.
