Puerto Rico Keeps Giving Me Reasons to Look Up

I love traveling, and I love coming back to this. The coastline, the color, the light, and a Puerto Rican flag moving in the breeze still make me reach for the camera.

These pictures remind me how much there is to enjoy close to home. Sometimes it is a familiar stretch of road. Sometimes it is a view that makes me stop for a minute even though I have seen it before.

I want to keep paying attention to those places. Living here gives me plenty of chances to do that, and I do not want to take them for granted.

Puerto Rico looks good in these photos. I am happy it is part of my everyday life.

Always Leave Room for Dessert

I will take a good meal and an unhurried table any day. And judging by these pictures, leaving room for dessert was the right decision.

Food has a way of becoming part of how I remember an outing. I might forget some of the details, then see a photo of a plate and immediately remember the place and the mood of the day.

I enjoy trying things, sharing a table, and having a reason to stay a little longer. A good lunch or dinner can turn an ordinary day into something worth remembering.

This is a small collection of things that looked too good to leave out of the camera roll. Looking at them again, I stand by that decision.

A Table for Two and Time to Catch Up

A good meal is a good excuse to slow down and spend time together. These photos have exactly the kind of evening I enjoy: a table, something good to eat, and company I am happy to be with.

I like our family adventures, and I also like making room for evenings like this. Time to sit across from each other, catch up, and enjoy being out.

There does not have to be a special occasion attached to every dinner. Sometimes wanting a little time together is reason enough.

I am glad these moments make it into the camera roll. They belong in the story of our life just as much as the big trips do.

Showing Up for Their Big Little Days

The medals, the dressed-up photos, the friends lined up together, the certificates held with a smile: these are days worth showing up for.

I enjoy seeing the people I love have their moment. Sometimes all you need to do is be there, take the picture, and let them know you are proud of them.

Looking back at this set, I notice the faces first. There is happiness in these photos that I would never want to rush past. It makes me glad we stopped to record it.

There will be plenty of other busy days. I want to keep making room for the ones where we get to celebrate each other.

The People I Want in the Frame

There are photos I take for the view, and photos I know I will want to keep because of the people in them. These belong in the second group.

I like seeing the different generations together. I like the familiar faces, the relaxed smiles, and the little details that make a picture feel like ours. Even a bowl of dessert can become part of the memory.

It is easy to let a visit pass without taking a photo. I am glad we have these. Years from now, I want to remember who was beside us and how good it felt to have everyone together.

This is a part of my life I am proud to share.
