Our Camino, One Step at a Time

The Camino photos feel different from the city photos. A path ahead of us, a marker beside the road, and the family bundled up for another stretch together.

I like that we have a record of being there. The landscape matters, and so do the little faces in red jackets showing up throughout the camera roll.

Walking gives a trip its own rhythm. You notice the ground, the trees, the weather, and the people moving along beside you. Looking back at these pictures, I am glad we shared that experience.

The road to Santiago is a memory I am happy to carry. These photos help me keep the individual moments close.

An Afternoon Worth Slowing Down For

Retiro gave us a different pace in the middle of Madrid. Water, trees, winter light, and a few photos that still make me smile.

The picture with the leaves is one of those small travel moments I am glad we caught. You can plan the destination, but the photos you end up loving often come from something much simpler along the way.

I enjoy seeing the sights, and I enjoy having time to stop in a place like this. Walk a little. Look around. Take a picture together before moving on.

This afternoon did not need much added to it. The setting was beautiful, and I liked being there with the family.

Madrid, One Walk and One Snack at a Time

A family selfie, a busy market, something to eat, and another plaza to wander through. This is a version of travel I enjoy a lot.

Madrid gave us plenty to look at without needing to rush from one thing to the next. I like walking through a city and letting a few of the smaller stops become part of the day.

The market photos and the family pictures belong together for me. They bring back the place and the people, which is exactly what I want from a travel memory.

Looking through this set makes me glad we kept the camera handy. A city is easier to remember when you can see the little moments you had in it.

Starting the Year Together in Madrid

We started 2026 in Madrid, bundled up and together. Looking at these photos now, that still feels like a very good way to begin a year.

The city had plenty going on, and our camera roll caught some of the smaller parts too: warm drinks, family selfies, and a happy face under a winter hat.

I like having a memory tied to the start of a year that I can actually see. These photos bring me right back to being there with everyone, out in the city and enjoying the moment.

I did not need a grand statement for the occasion. Starting the year with people I love was plenty to be happy about.

Mexico Beyond the Pool

I enjoy the relaxing part of a trip, and I also like getting out to see a little more. This set has a bit of both: old stone structures, a family photo, tacos, and a souvenir moment.

Those details make a trip feel more personal to me. We get to explore, eat something good, take our time looking around, and come back with things to remember beyond the hotel.

I like watching the family experience somewhere different. There is always something that catches someone's attention and becomes part of the story afterward.

These photos are a small piece of our time in Mexico. I am glad we made room for this part of the trip.
